Digital camera comparison of iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS got very little attention at the launching date of iPhone 3GS (the phone of the century), contrary to other many comparisions between specifications that people have done with old iPhone 3G.
Now that iPhone 3GS is out in the market, many comparisons are done on speed test, boot test, app speed etc, we have decided to compare digital cameras of these two old and new iPhone.
Where iPhone 3G is better than iPhone 3GS
In the ordinary room light, iPhone 2G camera has better resolution and comparitivly less noise than iPhone 3GS.
Resolution and noise cannot be corrected in post processing while colors modification software are in abundance. The iphone 3GS has good color capturing skill but as I said earlier color composition can be tackled through software.
With an improved resolution of 3 megapixel camera as compared to iPhone 3G having only 2 megapixel, the noise in the pictures is an utter dissatisfaction.
Where iPhone 3GS is better than iPhone 3G
Close-up pictures were always a trouble using iPhone 3G camera and many students have complained about it iPhone poor ability of capturing the book pages. With 3GS you get exclusive close-up photos of your favorite books and faces. This new iPhone camera brings joy for the macro-photographers who can capture minute details of their artistic discoveries.
