Google Wave is the most complicated web application of its time. We don't complain that it's useless or not user friend. Google Wave is a new way of communication and we are just not used to it yet so we think it’s complicated. Users don't note one thing while using Wave that it's only in "Preview" version. Wave is not even in beta version, so in future we are going to see much more stable and open Wave.
