Galaxy Y is a budget Android phone from Samsung for “Young” generation. It comes with pre loaded 2.3.5 Gingerbread firmware, 3.0 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display but the screen clarity is a little disappointing. it has 2.0 Mega pixels camera, 823 MHz processor to surf the internet and run android OS smoothly, 3G and Wi-Fi along with Bluetooth 3.0. Over all Samsung Galaxy Y is a very good phone to have at this low price. If you have Samsung Galaxy Y and looking for the method to root your device, all you need is to follow the below instructions.

  1. Rooting voids the warranty, though can be regained by updating with the default firmware.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y S5360

  • Download Update.zip from [Here]
  • Copy the downloaded file in the root folder of the SD card and do not extract the .zip file.
  • Switch off your phone and reboot in recovery mode, by holding power + volume up +home buttons simultaneously.
  • Select update.zip file, use volume up and down buttons to navigate.

      its just a shit although we have downloaded apps from market .
      if we root we only reset our mobile thats it , there is no big deal in that , its also void our manufacturing  os and some thing wrong happen , the service center cannot replace because of root ..
      I hope u can learn about it, yeah we no that we need more speed and processor but in GALAXY Y ,its a budget phone ane what we need its a pc suite and move all ur internal memory to sd card and thats it  have got freee memory o download more apps
      if u think its a bully then as u whish…

    hi, i have 1 question. i tried to root my phone before and it works. i unrooted for sometime and recently i rooted it again. it work the same way but then some problems arise. I installed font changer and said no busybox installed. but i already installed busy box. i tried to reinstall busybox but it says my phone is not rooted (although it is already rooted). what would be the problem? please help me. u can contact me personally at derflazner@gmail.com

      download the file again and make it sure you have download complete file and then try again..

    how do i know if it has already been rebooted? other pages say there’s a superuser on the menu
