No Multitouch possible for Sony Ericsson X10

According to a reaction by Sony Ericsson to a post on the Sony Ericsson Blog, there is no possibility for multitouch on the Xperia X10. Because of the software and the hardware there is no way to adjust this, not even by a firmware update. Sony Ericsson is working on an alternative.

This is rather a disappointment to some. Multitouch enhances the browsing experience and it is a comfort for certain multimedia option.

Also this sends out a rather negative message, since they have promised to put their focus on quality. Although, this doesn’t immediately dismiss the quality of the X10, it does once again add up to the list of disappointments by Sony Ericsson.
